December 1, 2017, realtor Minerva Bieri, Coldwell Banker Heritage, was found to be in violation of Articles 1, 2 and 5 of the Code of Ethics. Ms. Bieri violated Article 1 when she purchased the subject property while Complainant’s interest in purchasing the property was continuing. Ms. Bieri violated Articles 2 and 5 when she failed to adequately disclose to Complainant her ongoing interest in purchasing the subject property and that she had purchased the property. Recommendation for disciplinary action included that Ms. Bieri complete, at her own cost, a live seminar on an Ethics course and an Agency course, and that the Board issue a Letter of Warning.

March 27, 2018, realtor Minerva Bieri, Coldwell Banker Heritage, was issued an advisory letter in lieu of completing the disciplinary process to address the situation that prompted the complaint and investigation. Ms. Bieri was reminded she is required to maintain high standards of professional conduct per the Real Estate Canons of Ethics, Section1, Article 1. She was advised that failing to comply with their advice could result in a future Division action.
Ms. Bieri agreed to represent me (for a 3% commission to which the seller agreed) as the buyer of a FSBO property in Clifton, OH. While she continued to act as my agent, Ms. Bieri purchased the property for herself.
Minerva was our agent when we bought a new house and when we sold our old house. It was a great experience working with her both times.
